Yankees Stats

After 20 games, you can say we are roughly 1/8 done with the baseball season. Here are the projected Yankees batters stats based on the first 20 games:

Johnny Damon-16 HR, 56 RBI, 88 runs, 24 SB
Derek Jeter-0 HR, 88 RBI, 56 Runs, 0 SB
Bobby Abreu-16 HR, 80 RBI, 72 Runs, 8 SB
Alex Rodriguez-32 HR, 80 RBI, 96 Runs, 8 SB
Jason Giambi-16 HR, 48 RBI, 48 Runs, 0 SB
Robinson Cano-8 HR, 40 RBI, 24 Runs, 0 SB
Jorge Posada-8 HR, 48 RBI, 56 Runs, 0 SB
Hideki Matsui-24 HR, 72 RBI, 56 Runs, 0 SB
Melky Caberera-24 HR, 56 RBI, 64 Runs, 0 SB

As you can see, these stats suggest the Yankees are under-achieving offensively. Derek Jeter is not going to lead the team in RBI's and Melky Cabera is not going to hit 24 homeruns. The real problem here is 5-6-7 where Giambi, Cano and Posada are not exactly lighting up the stat sheets.

As I said before, though, a 10-10 record right now is Ok. Considering how awful the hitting and pitching has been, i'll take 10-10.

Games started by Wang: 4-0
Games started by Pettite: 3-1
Games started by Hughes: 1-3
Games started by Mussina: 1-3
Games started/relieved by Kennedy: 1-3

You cannot go 3-9 in your 3-4-5 starters.
