Yankees 6, Rays 1-The MOOOOOOOOOOse is looose

Ok, I know I'm going a little overboard here but any time you can good pitching from Mike Mussina there is reason to be excited.

The Moose pitched six solid innings today, yielding only one homerun, and the bullpen then pitched three scoreless innings to beat the Rays, 6-1. The three stooges (Bruney, Farnsworth and Hawkins) did not yield a run, imagine that.

The Yankees benefitted from their first "outburst" of the season, highlighted by a nice line drive bomb by El Camadooza, Bobby sweet as candy Abreu. Abreu is playing incredible ball right now. Matsui, A-Rod and mosti importantly Cano all added RBI's.

The Yankees are now 4-3 and the best part is the pitching has been absolutely great. In five of seven games, the Yankees have gotten quality starts and the offense has not been hitting-and you know that will turn around.

Kansas City starts today-The Yankees will need to play some solid ball as the Royals showed they can be a tough team to compete against.
