Yankees 3, Blue Jays 2-El Camadooza and Phil Franchise deliver

Great win for the Yankees tonight. Despite trailing 2-0 for most of the game, the Yankees rallied to tie the game 2-2 in the sixth.

Phil Franchise Hughes pitched a solid game, giving up two runs over six solid innings and only yielding four hits. Dustin McGowan was one step better than Hughes until the sixth inning, when the Yankees tied the game off a GIAMBINO rbi sac fly.

The game came down to a battle of the bullpens, and the Yankees were able to score in the eighth. Melky led off with a single, after Damon was out, it was followed by a Jeter bunt that turned into a single when Scott Downs could not handle it. Abreu then blooped a hit to center to win the game.

And as always, Mariano picked up the save to give the Yankees the win and the 2-1 series win.

This series was big for the Yankees. Although the hitting was not there for most of it, it came through in clutch situations and the pitching was solid outside of Mussina's outing.
