Royals 4, Yankees 0-You can't win when you don't score

I don't claim to be a genius. Far from it actually. But I know if you want to win a baseball game, you have to score some runs. You can't win a game with no runs. Well apparently, someone forgot to tell the Yankees as they got blanked 4-0 by the Royals.

Now let me say this. There are days where you are not going to score any runs against a pitcher like Johan Santana or Josh Beckett. But Zach Greinke? Brian Bannister? Edwin Jackson? Andy Sonnastine? The Yankees have not been able to hit mediocre pitching at all this year, which has cost them in several games and got them out to a 4-5 record.

The Royals scored two runs off who else but Kyle Farnsworthless. I don't care how fast you throw the ball, when you put it over the plate like he did tonight, even I could hit it out for a homer. Ian Kennedy gave up two over three, but like his pal Phil, used way too many pitches to try and get through the innings.

The Yankees are really running into a wall right now, and of course, they decide to do it heading into Boston.

Hmmm, you know, I think you're right about having to score to win... it just makes sense.

Anyways Boston is 4-5 too and has bullpen problems.
