Rangers 2, Devils 1-Rangers take 2-0 lead to the Garden

In a great played hockey game, the Rangers edged the Devils, 2-1, tonight at the Prudential Center to take a 2-0 lead into MSG.

Both teams played a great first two periods, but the Rangers were able to sneak one behind Marty when his teammate accidentally bumped him to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead, and then Sean Avery followed that with a beautiful goal 22 seconds later to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead.

The Devils added a late goal, but the Rangers held on.

Henrik Lundqvist was absolutely great again, stopping 26 of 27 shots. As my brothers friend Mark said to me, the Rangers are winning because Henrik is stopping everything. With such a presence in the goal, its no shock the Rangers are up 2-0.

Look for the Rangers to finish off the Devils in four or five games.
