Sweet 16 thoughts

UNC over Wazzuu-Wow. I would have thought this game was going to be close but UNC methodically wore them down and were able to do it without Hansbrough for the first half. They look real solid.

Louisville over Tennessee-Louisville, as Bruce Pearl said, controlled the tempo of this game and dominated the Volunteers. They had the huge lead, but then let Tennessee get back into it, but pulled away at the end for the win. Pittino is now 8-0 in the Sweet 16. Wow.

Kansas over Villanova-Kansas was the better team and proved it. Villanova had a hell of a tournament but it had to end. Kansas looks like it should be able to get over the hump now.

Davidson over Wiconsin-If you are not a fan of Stephen Curry, you don't like college basketball. This kid is the real deal and is really delivering for the Wildcats. They are the hottest team in the tournament and are just playing excellent ball. You don't beat Gonzaga, Georgetown and Wisconsin if you're not.

Memphis over Michigan State-Expected this result, but not in that fashion. Memphis led by 30 in the first half and just destroyed the Spartans. Sets up a great game with Texas.

Texas over Stanford-This game was alot closer than the score said, with Stanford getting the score within one with about 10 minutes left. A 23-5 run at the end sealed the deal.

UCLA over W.KY-UCLA sleep-walked through this game and was able to get the W. Scary team.

Xavier over Duke-I have not been high on Xavier all tournament, yet they gritted out this win. If Alexander had hit the free-throw though, WVU is in the Elite 8. Either way an exciting game, and if you are WVU, that inbounds play with 8 seconds left haunts your memories.
